A I N 'T

He was just a little boy
On a weeks first day
Wandering home from Bible school
And dawdling on the way

He scuffed his shoes into the grass
He even found a caterpillar
He found a fluffy milkweed pod
And blew out all the filler

A birds nest in a tree overhead
So wisely placed up so high
That caught his eager eye

A neighbor watched his zig zag course
And hailed him from the lawn
Asked him where hed been that day
And what was going on

Ive been to Bible School
He said and turned a piece of sod
He picked up a wiggly worm replying
Ive learned a lot about God

Mm very fine way, the neighbor said
for a boy to spend his time
If youll tell me where God is
Ill give you a brand new dime

Quick as a flash the answer came
Nor were his accents faint
Ill give you a dollar, Mister
If you can tell me where God aint

I received this poem "Ain't" this week and it made me think of the children we have in Bible classes and the good that is done by the teaching of these young minds the gospel of Christ

Let me say thank you to all of you who put so much effort into teaching the young people and those of you that see to it that those in your charge are present for Bible study both Sundays and Wednesdays.

We spend so much time seeing to it that our children have a secular education. Five days a week and several hours each of those days. This doesn't seem to be too much for those of us in the USA. Secular education can help you in society. It can help you gain a profitable occupation. It can prepare you for the rest of your life here on earth.

But spiritually, too many people in this country seem to think Bible knowledge is not as important. Are two to four hours a week too much? Spiritual education can help you know God and all He has done for us. It can help you know His Son and the love He has for us, manifest in His dying on the cross. And it can help you know the Holy Spirit and His giving us the Bible to direct us through life. Spiritual education is the means of knowing how to please God and see good days on this earth. But more, it will sustain you into eternity.

Ask what is more important secular or spiritual education? Have you brought a child to Bible class lately? Seek with all your heart to bring others to Christ. Eternity is in the balance. Don't fail to put the emphasis where it belongs. You may save souls for heaven. Stan
